Name and function of reactor products

Reactor product name and reactor used in functional power network is essentially a hollow coil without magnetic conductivity material.
It can be arranged into three assembly forms: vertical, horizontal and zigzag. When the power system is short-circuited, a large number of short-circuited currents will be generated. Without restriction, it is very difficult to maintain dynamic and thermal stability of electrical equipment.
Therefore, in order to meet the requirement of the interruption capacity of some circuit breakers, series reactors are often connected at the outgoing circuit breakers to increase the short-circuit impedance and limit the short-circuit current. Because of the use of reactor, the voltage drop on the reactor is larger when short circuit occurs, so it also plays a role in maintaining the bus voltage level, making the voltage fluctuation on the bus smaller and ensuring the stability of the user electrical equipment on the non-fault line.

Name and function of reactor products

1. Input reactor: also known as commutation reactor, is used in the power grid. It passes through AC current. Its function is to limit the voltage drop at the grid side and the current rise rate of thyristor di/dt and voltage rise rate du/dt when converter commutates, as well as decoupling of parallel converter set.
2. Parallel reactor: The function of the parallel reactor is to compensate the capacitance reactance of the system. Usually connected in series with thyristor, reactance current can be continuously adjusted.
3. Series reactor: It passes through AC. Series reactor is used to connect with compensating capacitor in series. Series resonance is formed for steady-state harmonics (5, 7, 11, 13). Usually there are 5-6% reactor, which belongs to high inductance reactor.
4. Tuning reactor: It passes through alternating current. The function of series reactor is to connect with capacitor in series. It forms series resonance to the prescribed n-th harmonic component, so as to absorb the harmonic component, usually n=5, 7, 11, 13, 19.
