Introduction of Insulating Rod

The insulating rod is mainly composed of a working head, an insulating rod and a grip, a kind of insulation materials.

Insulating rods are made of high-quality glass fiber cloth, epoxy resin and 306 resin phthalic anhydride, fiberglass fiber cloth and curing agent, and other large insulating materials. High-voltage insulation rods are used for insulating tools that operate live equipment for a short period of time, such as turning on or off high-voltage isolation switches, dropping fuses, etc. The surface of the insulating rod is smooth without air bubbles, wrinkles or cracks; the bonding between the glass fiber and the resin is intact; there is a plug at the port of the hollow tube, and the joints are firmly connected. Pay attention to the following when using high-voltage insulating rod:
1) Before use, check the surface of the insulation rod. It must be smooth, without cracks and damage, the rod body should be straight, and the connection of each part should be firm, and it should pass the periodic test.
2) When using the insulating rod, wear insulating gloves and boots as needed.
3) Use high-voltage insulation rods in outdoor rainy days. In order to block water flow and maintain a certain dry surface, an appropriate amount of rain cover must be installed. No less than two rain shields with a rated voltage of 10kV and below, and no less than 4 with 35kV and below. No special protection is allowed for outdoor operation when it rains or snows.
4) After use, the insulation rod should be placed on the indoor wooden frame to prevent bending and moisture, and preventive tests should be performed once a year.
